Realisation

Humans are blessed with brilliant minds and beautiful hearts. We are gifted with thoughts and emotions. We create dual worlds unknowingly and then often mix them up. But there are moments when there is clarity though it is there for a couple of minutes yet it is a learning experience if the realisation strikes. Realisation is important to deal with the situations that life puts us in. Realisation is often hard to sink in but if it does, it gives a feeling of enlightenment.
Transient it may seem…
Difficult to figure out whether its true or false…
Realisation brings clarity…
That is hazy…
In quest to find the answers…
We end up with new mind boggling questions….
And its a saga that continues forever…

It’s all about Poetry!

Sitting on your desk
Having too many thoughts
Why not to pen them down
Thinking of words
How to pen them down
Too many thoughts
Lots of emotions
No one to decipher
Poetry comes to rescue
‘Tis often spontaneous
But an effort sometimes
So many topics in the mind
One of which you zero down
You look for rhyme scheme
But don’t always find one
Then its the emotions you focus on
Some are blue
Some are white
Poetry is love
Poetry is life
It’s so clear yet so confusing
It’s so bright yet so gloomy
Normal people read appreciate
Crazy fellows like you and me
Get lost in the words
Create our own world
Get so engrossed
Can’t help but
Become poets ourselves…
That’s the fever of poetry
No one really cares bout the grammar
But the poet himself
Uses wrong punctuation
Justifies with reason.
A poem depicts feelings
Hard to understand
In reality, They’re just words in sand….

Mumma, How did I do this year?

I did a post on New Year Resolutions when I was just starting with this blog. Almost one year later I have decided to revisit what I wrote, as a kind of look-back exercise. I am grateful to myself (which I am quite frequently) for starting Blog Number Ek, because now I can actually judge my one year younger self and tell him he was awesome.

Well, unfortunately, that is not what I am going to do. This is more like a short report card about how I fared and what I accomplished, gain, lost and learnt in the past year. Why the need? Heard about SwadhyayaNo? Here you go: Swadhyaya.

For a quick recap, I wrote about how New Year resolutions are unavailing promises we make to ourselves, and how we will do something that is required of us regardless of when the New Year is. For instance, my younger self (let’s call him batman) has wanted to shed some extra kilos since time unknown. But a hundred promises and resolutions didn’t help, he could never do it. Reason: Batman was, and is, getting a lot of female attention already, he never felt the need to lose weight.

So, did I do what I needed to? Partly. I started **&%%#&*(@@*^ *#&^($& (*@^@$( $^^@$* )@$(*@($@(#&%&) &^%@!$$^ *#@##&* !#(@#(*# **&^#@@^% **&^%@^&@*( @&#^@#^@& ^%!%@^^&!@# **&%%#&*(@@*^ *#&^($& (*@^@$( $^^@$* )@$(*@($@(#&%&) &^%@!$$^ *#@##&* !#(@#(*# **&^#@@^% **&^%@^&@*( @&#^@#^@& ^%!%@^^&!@# **&%%#&*(@@*^ *#&^($& (*@^@$( $^^@$* )@$(*@($@(#&%&) &^%@!$$^ *#@##&* !#(@#(*# **&^#@@^% **&^%@^&@*( @&#^@#^@& ^%!%@^^&!@# **&%%#&*(@@*^ *#&^($& (*@^@$( $^^@$* )@$(*@($@(#&%&) &^%@!$$^ *#@##&* !#(@#(*# **&^#@@^% **&^%@^&@*( @&#^@#^@& ^%!%@^^&!@# **&%%#&*(@@*^ *#&^($& (*@^@$( $^^@$* )@$(*@($@(#&%&) &^%@!$$^ *#@##&* !#(@#(*# **&^#@@^% **&^%@^&@*( @&#^@#^@& ^%!%@^^&!@# in the college*.

This was just to get you started. So take some time out today, sit by yourself and think, “Did I accomplish what I wanted to?” Dig up any past posts you made from January (facebook, twitter, blogs, emails) and see what you wanted back then. Did you work for it? Are you satisfied?

The reason for doing this so early is that with almost one month in hand, we can catch up with things we couldn’t and end this year on a high note, make it a success! Awesome right? I know.

This will help you chalk out a plan for the rest of the month, make it more productive. So when the countdown to the new year begins, you can do away with the boring reverse counting and proclaim to everyone nearby, I Rocked \m/

Ciao!

Ironical Love

Love, a pure emotion.
Not as pure as it seems.
Contaminated by fears
It’ll befriend tears.
The more you indulge
The deeper you plunge
In the ocean of love
Bliss you’ll get
In another world.
However, remember sharks exist
In this ocean too
No one will save you except you.

Love, a pure emotion
It is as pure as it seems
It’s untouched by anything,
Like a moonlit sky full of stars.
You create your own dirt
‘Coz love doesn’t hurt
Strings attached do
Cut your strings with a wink
And bathe in the heaven’s brink
‘Coz it’s only love that’s pouring.

Last Chapter

So, December is here and I feel like taking a break from Poetry and share some thoughts. We all have just a few days left to write the most beautiful chapter of 2014. For me, this year has been a roller coaster ride but I’m not here to describe that ride. All I got to say is give one last lookback to this year. Make amends, learn from your mistakes, and do what you feel like because if you keep waiting for the right time, it won’t ever come. It’s here and now. Write the final chapter with full of enthusiasm and carefree attitude because time and tide wait for none. Go ahead and make history. Because if you do this now, I’m telling you my readers that you’d experience pure bliss. Looking forward to a new life and a new beginning with 2015 just few days away! Have fun people. 😀
